报告摘要：This talk, mostly based on joint work with Ovidiu Munteanu, concerns the geometry of three-manifolds with scalar curvature bounded from below. The emphasis is on a monotonicity formula and its various implications.

报告人简介：王嘉平，美国明尼苏达大学教授。美国数学会千禧年奖获得者。主要研究微分几何与偏微分方程。他在流形谱估计，Ricci孤立子，三维流形数量曲率估计方面做过很多深刻的工作。发表论文50余篇。
